Welcome to the latest edition of the Worldwide Opinions blog carnival. This weeks entries are the usual interesting mix of themes and opinions. Phil’s discussion of the benefits of the metric system is particularly timely because last week UK shops and businesses were given permission to use Imperial weights and measures alongside the metric system which became universal a few years ago. So, onwards and upwards, pour yourself a cup of tea and enjoy this issue.
Phil presents An Argument for the Metric System « Phil for Humanity posted at Phil for Humanity.
Phil says, “Quickly, how many pounds are there in 100 ounces? How many feet are there in a mile? Which is greater: 5.5 pints, 94 fluid ounces, or 3 quarts? How many square yards are there in an acre?”
That concludes this edition. Thank you to everyone who took part.
